Japanese automakers Nissan have released this image of a new concept vehicle that will be shown at this years Paris Motorshow (2nd-17th October). They gave virtually no information on the new TownPod EV except for the strange image and the following description.
“It is designed to offer zero-emissions mobility to a future generation of home-based, innovative entrepreneurs who are creative and tech-savvy. It is more than just a car and it’s more than just a van – it heralds a new-era of flexible, stylish vehicles that will bring electric-vehicle mobility to the masses.”
And by the looks of it – you will only be able to use it to race against other computer programs as you careen through circuit boards, trailing blue digital ribbons behind you.

The grid will not crash if they utilize grid tied solar EV charging stations like the one Solade Concepts has developed. An advertisement company (ECO AD Space) will start their Green Valley Corridor thru Corona CA in November of 2010. This Corridor will allow electric vehicle owners to charge their cars in Corona for free. These stations will be installed in retail parking lots, ( Farmer Boys, Movie theaters , Malls, Grocery Stores. In every day visited locations. Their goal is to have a 100 within the first year. That means at the same time there will be over a 100 kw of renewable energy that will assist the grid. If you have any questions about how ECO AD Space is going to accomplish this feel free to contact Paul Larez ([email protected])
