Plug In America is constantly come up with new ways to humorously engage viewers with its message of the benefits that come from owning plug in electric vehicles.
Their latest video looks at a subject that is probably often underrepresented in the whole gas vs. electric car debate – the problem that gas powered vehicles have with engine maintenance.
As the Plug In America video illustrates, an electric motor doesn’t give its owners any headaches when it comes to fixing or replacing an engine, transmission, spark plugs, valves, fuel tank, tailpipe, distributor, oil, oil filter, starter, clutch, muffler, or catalytic converter.

It’s hard not to get into the ever increasing polarization of America when you watch something like Neil Cavuto’s interview of Fabio on Fox News.
Cavuto’s ignorance is outstripped only by his arrogance as he denounces electric cars as a “dumb idea.” The whole thing is truly painful to watch as Cavuto refuses to budge on his one and only talking point, that he doesn’t believe that Fabio can fit into a Tesla Roadster. Barack Obama’s inauguration was watched and celebrated by millions of Americans. Among them were the proud electric vehicle owners and supporters of the Plug In America parade. The parade of electric vehicles was organized to urge the Obama administration to help attain the goal of seeing one million electric vehicles on the road by 2010.
The video of the Santa Monica EV parade gives you a look at plenty of cool electric vehicles inside and out. There are also several speakers who are well-known in the eco auto world including the director of “Who Killed the Electric Car?”, Chris Paine and California State Senator Fran Pavley among several others.
Plug In America, an organization that promotes the use of electric vehicles, held an electric car parade today to celebrate President Obama’s inauguration speech.
Over 70 electric vehicles came together for the celebratory parade in promotion of a plug-in vehicle focus for the Obama administration. The message of the parade was actually quite specific in that they are calling to see one million electric vehicles in Ameerica by 2010 and 10 million by 2016.
The two-mile parade ran through downtown Santa Monica and included 40 Toyota RAV4 Evs, four Tesla Roadsters, an all electric 50-ton truck and a PHEV school bus.
