Everyone is talking about the Fisker Karma, but until recently, Fisker had never revealed a solid release date. According to a Santa Monica Fisker dealer, production on the Karma will begin in the first quarter of next year, with deliveries scheduled to commence in March or April.
The four-door luxury car has two 201-hp electric motors and a top speed of 125 mph. After 50 miles, a gasoline-powered generator kicks in to recharge the lithium-ion battery pack. According to its website, the Karma will offer several interior designs, including “Eco-Chic,” which uses “100 per cent bamboo viscose and frames authentic fossil leaves inside the EcoGlass.”
The car goes from zero to 60 in 5.8 seconds and can reach top speeds of 200 km/h. Fisker Karma will retail for between $88,000 and $115,000.
