I bought 2010 F-250 and then I saw the CR saying it gets 10mpg and my jaw dropped. But after driving it I see that the CR is WAY OFF! I get over 16 - 18mpg (not hauling a trailer) which is about the same as my old F-150. How did they do the test? Were they hauling a large load? They need to retest and publish how the test was conducted..

I've bee driving an F-250 Lariat for years. Best truck I've ever owned AND ALWAYS IS 90% or less then the allowable standards for emissions. You don't buy these things to drive to the beauty parlor, they are for those that need the capacity to haul and tow. Try towing a two horse trailer with a Prius (if your gas pedal doesn't stick). If I need an economy vehicle to get the grocery store, I can walk or take the bicycle with panniers. For longer trips take the MB running bio-diesel.
