NASCAR stars Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon probably aren’t the first people you’d think of to own Chevy Volts, but they do. Granted the famous racecar drivers are clearly more associated with Chevrolet than just owners/appreciators of the Volt. But still, it’s cool to see a couple guys like this lending their voice to supporting an eco-friendly vehicle like the Chevy Volt.

A couple people driving in the hills of Paolo Alto California spotted a Tesla Model S being test driven. The Model S is being put through its paces and chased and recorded by someone in what might be a BMW M3.

The Model S shows off its ability to accelerate quickly and handle corners nicely. Check out the video and tell us if it stoked your Model S fires of desire. We know we’re feeling a little hot under the collar here.

Here we have the first Tesla video that shows a Model S and a Roadster driving side-by-side in sweet, silent unison. Both electric cars are a joy to look at and any new videos of the Model S in action are always appreciated.

Model S production is expected to begin in the middle of 2012 but electric vehicle fans are already hungry for 7-person seating EV sedan with its various models that have a range as high as 300 miles on a single charge and 120 mph top speed.

A few preproduction alpha versions of the Tesla Model S get put through their paces on a test track in the above video. Note the sweet sounds of silence as the electric sedans rip around the track.

The Model S is expected to start being produced next year and will have a starting price of $57,400 for the base model. Three models of the luxury electric sedan will eventually be made available with ranges going from 160 miles to 230 miles and 300 miles at the top end.

If you can’t decide whether you’d rather cruise in comfort or rip around corners on a crotch rocket, the Shaviat, an adjustable electric motorcycle concept, may be just what you’re looking for.

This concept electric bike has the transformer-like to morph with the handlebars, footpads and seat all being adjustable. Add in the fact that this baby is pure EV and you’ve got your self an eye-catching concept. Check the video above for an example of the Shaviat’s morphing ability.

The new Nissan Leaf electric car polar bear ad goes straight for the heart of environmentally conscious drivers. Check out the video Nissan has simply title, “Polar Bear” above.

The Wall Street Journal got a chance to take the Nissan Leaf electric car for a spin. They posted their little tour in the above video. It won’t give you any major new revelations about the Nissan Leaf, but it helps satisfy those of us who can’t wait to get in and try one of these slick, little EVs ourselves.

US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood confused millions of American Toyota ownsers when he stated that the recalled Toyota vehicles should not be driven and then came out the next day and instructed Toyota owners to drive them their dealerships where they can be checked out.

What a PR nightmare for Toyota who now has the American public looking at their cars like they are some kind of time bombs ready to accelerate them into oblivion at any second.
