Hybrid vehicle sales in the U.S. dropped almost 14% when compared with October 2010, hybrids as a whole accounted for 2.39% of the entire car market.
So far in first 11 months of the year, automakers have sold 245,387; down from 265,478 a year ago.
The Toyota Prius once again maintained its spot as the best-selling hybrid with around 50% of all hybrid sales in the U.S. Ford sold 2,792 hybrids last month. The Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan hybrids sold 1,396 and 190 units respectively. The Ford Focus hybrid sold 764 and Mercury Mariner hybrid sold 50. Ford sold 392 units of the new Lincoln MKZ hybrid.
