Although this news doesn’t exactly fall under the “eco” category – we here at Eco Auto Ninjas are a bunch of traffic whores and all the Google Trend rage for today is “free car media.” Basically, free car media is where you get paid to drive provided you drive a car wrapped in advertising. This sounds all well and good, but there are some strings attached other than just driving around. So driving around in a free car sounds nice, but what if you’re advertising tampons or laxatives? That would be pretty uncool – cruising the strip in the laxative mobile. How suave can you look pulling up to a light and eying the hot chick in the car next to you while you idle in your Preparation H car?
If you’re still interested, Free Car Media is one of the companies that offers them. The catch is that the advertiser will want a certain amount of time in certain types of places and will most likely follow your via GPS to make sure you’re providing that time – so it is unlikely that you’ll just be allowed to cruise your hood or drive to work and back with your free car. Well, they do not exactly give you a free car, but they do compensate between $400-$800 a month, which covers most monthly car payments.
Still interested? Good luck! The demand is pretty high and Free Car Media only has limited spots. They will also be looking for specific vehicle types and specific demographics.

I do a thirty mile trip twice a day taking kids to school. I also, wait in line for pickup thirty minutes. While not driving to school, I help my husband drive surrounding areas selling insurance. We live in San Augustine, Texas and travel most of East Texas towns. I am very interested in getting paid for advertising your products.

I might be interested in having my car wrapped if I am a good candidate. I drive a GMC Envoy XUV 2004……….they don’t make these anymore. The roof opens at the back. It is white and has alot of surface to advertise with! I run my own business and have very flexible hours, live one mile from a college campus and less than 1/2 mile from a high school. I am close to downtown, the local mall and a Wal-mart which I frequently visit.

I am a car pooling grandmom and a own a good sized cleaning company and we hit a good income demographic, there as well multiple counties,homes and areas between. Hi I am interested I drive Kenner Metairie and new Orleans everyday, and I work on the river so 2-3 times a week I drive from Algiers to baton rouge depending on my jobs. Those miles for me could mean lots and lots of advertising. I drive a RIGHT HAND DRIVE Honda DelSol. I get looks just for sitting on the wrong side while driving so this just grab more attention.

I just read about this on the AOL news for the day.
I to drive a lot and depending on which vehicle, will depend on how many miles are driven per year. I have 3 vehicles, a 2008 Ford Extended Cab, 2001 Buick Cutlas, & a 2000 Chevy Impala. We live in St. Louis, and both have extended families. When we go on long trips we will usually take the Buick or the Truck, depending on if were hauling a boat or trailer. We do travel quite a bit by vehicle. In fact, we will be going to Washington this summer (June) and will log at least 5000 miles round trip. We travel a lot to Oklahoma, and Kansas each year.
When were not traveling, then I spend a lot of time taking my grand daughter to and from dance. We both work, and in my case..I drive all day from place to place, we also attend church and we do a lot of traveling around town. One year, I put 52,000 miles on one car, however, since gas prices have gone up, I’ve reduced that amount quite a bit. But between the 3 cars, it is nothing for us to log at least 50,000 plus miles per year.
I would totally love to catch one’s attention without having to spend $100,000 on a vehicle..:-)

I drive 82 miles one way to work into downtown Los Angeles 5 days a week. I put an average of 3200 miles a month on my Scion Xb. I am usually in my car an average of 4 hours a day, (with traffic).
